Privacy Policy

Colorpop (Nandakumar, Purba Medinipur, West Bengal – 721632) runs colorpop.in. We collect as little as we need to run the service, we never sell your data, and there are no ads. This policy follows the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. What we collect

• Account details: the parent's name and email address (and Google account name and email if you sign in with Google).
• Orders: what you bought, the amount, and the payment reference from Razorpay. For printed comics, the delivery name, address, PIN code and phone number.
• Devices: a random device identifier and device type for each device you add, so we can apply the device limit.
• Colouring progress: your child's colouring is saved on the device, and may be synced to your account so it continues on another device.
• Basic technical logs: IP address, browser type and error reports, kept for security and to fix problems.

We do not collect your card, UPI PIN or bank details: payments are handled entirely by Razorpay under its own privacy policy. We do not ask children for any personal information.

2. How we use it

• to create your account, give you access to the books you bought and remember progress;
• to process payments, deliver physical orders and send order emails (receipts, login codes, shipping updates);
• to answer your questions and handle refunds;
• to keep the service secure and prevent fraud or misuse;
• to meet legal and tax obligations.

We will only send marketing emails if you choose to receive them, and every such email has an unsubscribe link.

3. Children

Colorpop is made for children to use under a parent's account. Accounts are created by a parent or guardian, who gives consent for the child's use. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, do not track them, and do not show them ads.

4. Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to run Colorpop, each bound to protect your data: Razorpay (payments), our hosting provider (servers in India or abroad with appropriate safeguards), our email delivery service, and courier partners (delivery details only, for physical orders). We may disclose information if required by law.

5. Cookies and storage

We use essential cookies and the browser's local storage to keep you logged in, store books for offline use and save colouring progress. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is active. Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires (usually 8 years). You can ask us to delete your account at any time; we will delete or anonymise your data except what we must keep by law.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to act for you, by writing to us. We reply within 30 days.

8. Security

Data is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, stored on secured servers with restricted access, and passwords are never stored because login uses one-time codes or Google sign-in.
